Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge recipients/participants for your flowers or classes?

We never charge recipients for the flowers distributed through reBLOOM. We are funded by private donations and bouquet sponsors as well as in-kind support.

Are you a nonprofit? What does it mean to be a non-profit?

reBLOOM Collective is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity ( EIN: 41-2297185 ) and is eligible to receive tax-deductible donations. Please contact your tax preparer for assistance. Please consult your tax professional.

A nonprofit exists to serve a mission, not to make a profit for shareholders or owners. At reBLOOM, every dollar goes back into the work of repurposing flowers, connecting people, and spreading joy.

It does mean we operate responsibly. Our work—picking up, insurance, vases, storage, re-arranging, and delivering flowers, coordinating volunteers, and growing community partnerships—is made possible by a mix of volunteers, contracted help..

Can I get a tax receipt for my donation?

reBloom sends you an acknowledgment letter including details of your donation. Donations to nonprofit organizations are tax deductible according to IRS regulations. Flower donations are often a depreciated deduction. Please consult with your accountant for specifics.

If you don’t charge for the service, how are your operations funded?

Repurposing flowers is meaningful work, but it does come with real costs — from insurance and vases to storage, pickup, redesigning, delivery, volunteer coordination, and building community partnerships and visibility. We encourage (but never require) flower donors to make a contribution that feels comfortable to them. We never want financial support to deter a flower donation.

reBLOOM also relies on contributions from generous community donors, the kindness of our volunteers, and support raised through events and workshops. Together, these gifts allow us to continue sharing beauty where it’s needed most.

Do you operate all year?

Naples is seasonal. During the summer its population drops to 1/5 of its peak season population. We rely on the volunteer work of many seasonal helpers and the flower donations that peak during season. Accordingly, we operate when events and volunteers are most abundant, October 15th through May 15th.

Do you pick up donations?

Absolutely. We will make arrangements with your florist or event planner to retrieve the flowers after your event.

How far in advance do I need to schedule a donation?

To reserve your spot on our calendar, we recommend scheduling your donation at least 3-4 weeks in advance. However we will try to accommodate last-minute donations. Please learn more and fill out a flower donation form here

What if my vases are rented?

No problem! We’ll coordinate details like this with your florist and venue host. We’ll leave rented vases on-site for your vendors to retrieve and use our own when we deliver your flowers to recipients.

How do I volunteer?

We are accepting volunteers and training on an as-needed basis. Please email us to inquire about our current needs.

Why does reBloom need vases?

Often event planners rent vases, or use much larger vessels than we need, resulting in flower donations outnumbering our in stock vases.

What other ways do we support sustainability?

We strive to lessen our footprint whenever possible, for example by composting any flowers we retrieve that not used for our bouquets. Read more about why here.  We also partner with Glassblowing in the Garden and up-cycle  any of their handblown glass creations with slight imperfections in our arrangements.
